Type Locality and Naming

Along the Yamchisay, Baysun Depression. Yu.R. Smolnikov et al., 1971.

Lithology and Thickness

Sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites), clays, in foothills - grayish-brown and brownish-gray gravelites and conglomerates. Thickness 298-1014m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Kofrun-Neog Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Munchak Fm

Regional extent

Southwestern. Gissar, Tajik Depression, Baysun and Surkhandarya Depressions. B.I. Pinhasov - upper Pliocene and correlates it with the Uchkolsay Fm and the lower parts of the Shurasan Fm of S.-W. Gissar.
